This year I have teamed up with fellow silversmith, Rebecca Joselyn, to establish Goldsmiths North, a new summer selling fair bringing the finest contemporary Silverware & Jewellery to the Cutlers’ Hall in the heart of Sheffield.
Our exhibitors are all independent makers at the top of their game and represent some of the best, most interesting and highest quality work being made in the industry today. Our Fair will be the first of its kind ever to take place in the North and we feel a platform like this is well over-due in this part of the country.
Sheffield in particular has always been well represented in the precious metalworking trade but this year the industry’s top makers will be coming to us. And what better place to host them than the finest livery hall in the North of England? The Cutlers’ Hall has been welcoming illustrious visitors to the North for centuries and its magnificent Banqueting Hall will provide the perfect setting for this year’s Fair.
I will be attending the Fair in person and displaying some exciting new pieces, however my stand will primarily be supervised by my son. The full listing of this year’s exhibitors is now available to view on the website: www.goldsmithsnorth.com.
The show takes place from 12th to 14th July and is open between 10am and 5pm daily. We’d love to see you there!
Another great reason to visit Sheffield that weekend:
There’s even more to see at the Great Northern Contemporary Craft Fair in the Millennium Galleries that same weekend. The Great Northern Contemporary Craft Fair will showcase 75 craft artists and designer-makers, specially selected for their excellence. Exhibiting a wide variety of work in ceramics, interior and fashion textiles, glass, furniture, print, jewellery and more, the Great Northern Contemporary Craft Fair is an opportunity to buy direct from the artists or to commission your own unique handmade piece.
